Chloe's recital in the Hall of Presidents

Santa must have thought we were very good boys & girls this year.  There were millions of cool presents under the tree!

And with Christmas, we mark the passing of another year, blessed to have so many friends and family.

Chloe's birthday party at Lifetime Fitness - she is keeping us all healthy!

A time to be grateful for all the good things we have in life.

Riley is now a full fledged member of the "Terrible Two's"!!!

This was a great party for the kids!

Well, after eight years of suspense, they finally did it!  The last of the sisters has tied the knot.

Now of course we are wondering who will have children first?  Tina or Max?

Time for some pictures of the kids doing the Easter things... The fancy dresses for church, more food than anyone could eat, and of course the Easter Egg Hunt!

With so many birthday and Christmas presents it's hard to pick which one was best.... Jonah was certainly happy with a reminder of what's on his wish list, Long loves the Redskins, and I'm just happy to eat the food and join the party!

Aidan's 1st birthday!  Two down and one more to go!  Spend a few minutes looking at the new kids in the family...  to return to the age of one- when life was so simple!

Another member of our family & friends has started his path of birthdays- Riley's 1st.  Besides the fun party for the kids, you have to see the pictures of Dzung singing. 

While watching hotel TV in Orlando, I was mesmerized by this PBS show and immediately purchased concert tickets.  Good thing I didn't do my first thoughts, which was to invite Raina as a birthday present, because I found out later that she doesn't like Celtic music.

One of the great things about having lots of brothers & sisters, is that we have lots of birthday parties to celebrate!

Almost summer and we had a wonderful evening at party central, Raina & Long's home.  And a nice opportunity to take our group pictures so we can see what everyone looks like years from now.

 

Chloe went to her first summer camp!  Which means swimming pools and pony rides.  Her Dad even took a short movie of her first pony ride.

With the wonderful views of New York, and the fun on the trains, you'll see lots of smiles on these faces.

I don't think there is any question that the new Washington baseball team has a couple of new baseball fans.

After missing my vacation last year, for the first time in my life I actually planned a vacation more than a week in advance- something very unusual for me.  Knowing that I would be attending a week long conference in Orlando, I decided to spend the entire week before in Walt Disney World.  It was an engineer's vacation, I took every backstage tour I could attend and learned all the magic they would let me know.   Other than the fact that it rained every single day so I didn't get anything near a tan, the vacation was terrific.

With a day of bright sunshine and smiles on everyone's faces, Chloe & Riley brought their Mom & Dad to Richard's house for a Mother's Day celebration!

Sometimes these pages show the sad times of our lives.   My loving Aunt Helen passed away this month.  While the funeral helps us mark the passing of her life, the other pictures celebrate the joys of family members that are not able to spend as much time together as we would like.  Also, there are many pictures of the beautiful town that we called home, Mattituck, Long Island.

Raina & Long took Chloe, Riley, Melanie & Emily to visit Max, Jonah & Tina in California.

Some of us had really good New Year's costumes!  Check out what Alice, Binh and a few friends were doing this year.

When you have the coolest movie theater in town, all your friends come over to your house to watch the latest films from Asia.  Of course it helps that Loan & Dzung also have great food!

With such a generous bunch of dentists, you know the parties for the folks at the office will be a fun affair!

 

Aidan Nam Hoang was born on Wednesday evening around 8PM.  He weighed 7 lb 15 oz for those of you still in the running for the money!

We are really going to miss Tina's wonderful smile on the east coast.  So if you guys out in California are not nice to her, we are going to come and bring her back to us!

 

The babies in the making, one's here, two to go!  Of course we are all excited about the new arrivals, but how can you overlook all the great food at these parties?  One thing is for sure, you cannot lose any weight after spending a few hours with your friends at a family party.

I think the pictures tell the story better than I ever could.

Raina is certainly looking good for someone thirty-three years old and almost ready to give birth to Riley!  On her 34th birthday there will be a son at the party.

The first weekend in August, a beautiful day and Richard is out on his BMW motorcycle riding through the Virginia country side.  Take a minute to enjoy a couple pictures and a funny story.

And if all of us are in this good health when we pass eighty years old, what a nice life it will be!

Isn't it just amazing how fast one year can go by when it's a baby's first year?  So many babies and to think that in a little while three new ones will join the families.

Father's Day and more food than all of us could eat!

Even with the birth of the newest member of the family only a few months away, Chloe still steals the spot light!

Chloe was afraid of the new bugs everywhere, so Long was teaching her they could be touched and wouldn't hurt her.  Amazing what a difference spending a little time with children can accomplish.  At the same time, Chloe was telling her Dad all the things he needed to know about drive a motorcycle.

For two weeks now we have played Texas Hold 'Em with lessons from Loan & Dzung.  With money on the table, some real pros showed up this past weekend to fight for the honor ( well, maybe for the pile of money too...) of being the winner!

Nicolas's new home was the site of this year's birthday party for Binh and Nicolas.  Of course we had all the regulars trying to steal the show, and a few new folks have joined our celebration.

Why does it take a tourist from out west to make us appreciate the art in the museums of Washington?  Thanks to Clark, the three of us spent a fine day admiring the art.

With three women having babies so close together we just have to have a guessing contest!  Give Oanh a little bit of money and let me know your guess - weight and gender for each of the babies.  Winner take all the last time I checked.

Because I enjoy taking pictures, it's rare that I get to see pictures of myself.  On this weekend, thanks to several folks, I have some pretty nice pictures of ME!  We spent the weekend in a fabulous cabin in the Shenandoah National Forest hiking and skiing.  This time I made movies with music to show the pictures.  Come see!

Two people with separate lives join to make a new family, a we are then blessed to be part of the event.  If you were not able to attend, at least you can share through the pictures we have.

Max and Jonah went to Cheju Island in Korea for vacation.  Ask Max about the warm clothes they brought with them to go up the mountain!

What a nice way to spend July 4th with your friends - to have a party celebrating Dzung & Loan's engagement!  Since Loan was involved there was more food than any hundred people could eat even if you did have 20 crabs.

Tina and Brian went to visit Max in California.  While there, they saw a bike race you can't see in Virginia and the famous wineries

  Remembrance of the past, and celebration of the future to come.  With wishes of good luck for all (and a little bit of money to help, naturally!)

Mr. & Mrs. Nam after having worked almost every day of their lives, have sold the store, and are now catching up on travel, vacations and the family.  After returning from a trip to visit relatives in Korea, they had their first family vacation in Hilton Head.  While the golf may have been a bit damp, it was a fun trip for everyone!  Take a few moments out of your day and imagine the joy of leisure time after so many years of hard work.
